DMX

Earl Simmons (born December 18, 1970), better known by his stage name DMX, is an American rapper and actor who rose to fame in the late 1990s.

DMX was born in Baltimore. He was the child of Joe Barker and Arnett Simmons. DMX's mother was pregnant with him when she was 19. He was raised in the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses. He spent much time on the streets committing crimes. However, he considered hip hop to be an escape from his hard times, as he enjoyed beatboxing, turntablism, and eventually rapping.
